Graduate Assistant, College of Business and Economics Writing Lab
Duties
• Review writing assignments with students
• Review writing strategies revision and editing of business documents with students
• Help students understand and work with the CBE business writing rubric
• Aid in completion of Student Writing Evaluations and preparation of evaluation database
• Develop writing exercises and information sheets specific to business writing
• Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings
Required Personal Qualifications
• Strong writing skills and love of teaching
• Effective interpersonal communication skills
• Ability and willingness to work with students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels
• Basic computer familiarity
Prerequisites to Employment
• Enrollment at Towson University, preferably in the graduate writing program
• A sample of applicant’s business writing
• Recommendation from a Towson University faculty member
